DRAW Program (Full screen graphic editor):
a. Screen drawing:
All of the DRAW sub commands are activated with the first letter. Further
instructions or questions will appear in the top one or two lines of the
screen. The main menu is: [Draw] A B C D E F G J L M P Q R S T
To display the full title of each of these commands just press <RTN>.
(Or the left button on the mouse.)
To cancel most commands press the Escape (Esc) key. Some questions are
cancelled with the Return key <RTN>.
As you become familiar with the command letters, you may type ahead of
the menu and prompts, as the keyboard buffers up to 15 characters.
All prompts in [ ] are defaults and will be entered with <RTN> key.
. Cursor movement:
1. Cursor (Arrow) keys: (Default, or select command: A)
The current cursor position is displayed as a `+' which can be moved
on the screen with the four arrow keys, and the diagonal keys (Page Up,
Page Dn, Home and End). To control the distance moved, the
increment can be set at any time with the number keys along the top of the
keyboard. Each number multiplies the increment.
Thus the 1 key sets an increment of 10; the 2 key sets 20 etc. up to
9 (90). The exception is the 0 key which sets an increment of 640 pixels,
which enables immediate movement of the cursor to any border.
To set the cursor increment in the range 1 to 9 use the ALT key
together with a number key. For example: ALT/3 sets the increment to 3.
The cursor increment applies to both horizontal and vertical movement.
The current increment is displayed at the lower left of the screen
if the status line is being displayed. (Use Function 8)
2. Joystick:
Select command: J then Direct or [P]roportional. The sensitivity of the
joystick movement can be adjusted with the number keys (along the top).
To return to the arrow keys, press command: A (or M for mouse).
3. Mouse:
The M-S Mouse driver must be loaded before GRAPHTIME-II.
e.g. MOUSE/1<RTN> (or it may be added to the GT.BAT file.)
Select M from the master DRAW menu. Sensitivity of the mouse is controll-
ed by the top-row number keys (1 - 9).
Note: Text entry will temporarily revert to arrow key cursor control.
Hidden command: V for version number and date.
b. Picture File loading (Fn 9) and saving (Fn 10):
Picture files are normally loaded from the GRAPHTIME-II default drive.
(use Fn 2 to change). If the name displayed in [ ] is correct, press <RTN>.
To display all files and select with the cursor keys, press an arrow key,
move the highlight cursor to the required filename and press <RTN>.
To load from a temporary alternate drive, include the drive
specifier in the name typed in. e.g. B:PARTS<RTN>
c. GRAPH command: Direct access to other programs:
GRAPH program, Text editor and Plotter driver.
